Itinerary
Arrive Los Mochis
 Upon arrival to Los Mochis you will be met at the airport or bus station and transferred to your downtown hotel for the evening.

Note: If you are considering driving to the Copper Canyon, you will want to drive to Los Mochis and park your car in the secure parking lots adjacent to the hotels. You will not find secure parking in most of the cities in this area.

Los Mochis to Creel
Today begins bright and early with a 5:15am transfer to the Ferromex Train Depot as you depart on the ChePe train for the fantastic city of Creel. You will traverse the most rugged railway in the Western Hemisphere as you climb more than 7,000 feet through the Sierra Madre Range. You will be surrounded by canyon and mountain scenery in all directions. Upon arriving in Creel, you will be transferred to your hotel for the evening.

Transfer to Batopilas
This morning you will begin your 5-6 hour journey down the mountainside to the gorgeous, hidden town of Batopilas. Enjoy the scenery along the narrow road as it winds past Indian villages and spectacular scenery of this remote region.

Upon arrival at the bottom of the canyon you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a peaceful evening under the stars in this ancient locale.

Free day in Batopilas
Explore this amazing little community that hasn’t changed much since the 19th century. Today would be the ideal day to hike to the “Lost Cathedral” along with all the other sites there are to be seen in this unique little mining town.

Transfer to Creel
This morning you will bid farewell to your adventure at the bottom of the canyon,as you transfer back up the mountainside to Creel. Upon arrival in Creel, check into your hotel and take this opportunity to get a massage, shop for fine silver jewelry, or just enjoy a margarita!

Creel to Los Mochis
This morning you will go on a tour of Creel, including such sites as Mushroom Valley, the Mission, Tarahumaran Indian Caves, and Lake Arareko before re-boarding the First Class ChePe for your return trip. After a scenic journey back through the canyon, you will arrive back in Los Mochis. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for an evening of relaxation and reflection.


Depart Los Mochis
Your Copper Canyon adventure comes to a close this morning as you check out of the hotel and are transferred to the airport or bus station for your travel home or onwards.
